The Shelter

The Goblet W11 P53 Balmung - ICly set in Radz-at-Han

.
A home & Shelter || Floor plan
Anyone asking about Jijivisha will be sent to this oasis of a house in the heart of Radz-at-Han. The place is open to the public and those in need are never turned away. They'll be washed, clothed, fed and offered a bed for the night; and likely a few gils as well so they can start anew. Should their plea be something The Guild can help with, then a few of its members may be dispatched for the task. Some of the services they offer:
The hammam (Room 2)
2nd basement, first door on the right | A place for cleansing and relaxation, one may use the hot room and scrub themselves clean before entering the bath afterwards. Soap and towels are provided by the house.
The langar (Room 6)
2nd basement, end of corridor | Regional food is prepared in the langar all day long and offered in a self-serve manner. Please be mindful of waste and only grab what you can actually eat. Food is free but donations are kindly accepted so Jijivisha can continue offering this service to those in need. You may sometimes spot at a table a gray-haired viera doing card readings or storytelling; some know him as the Blue Oracle. If you're in need of some guidance in your life, he might be able to help.
The dormitory (Room 5)
3rd basement, first door on the right | Should one need a place to rest for a few nights, they may find a bed in the dormitory. Sadly, there are not enough beds to host visitors for long periods, as to give everyone a chance to get a few nights of restful sleep, though they are welcomed to come again after a few days.
The 'clinic' (Room 1)
3rd basement, end of the corridor | Not a clinic per say, but rather a small infirmary tucked in the corner of the apothecary. Jijivisha has a few healers amongst its members who offer their services for free to those in need, or upon voluntary contribution from anyone who can spare a few gils. Keep in mind they can't perform any complicated surgical procedures as they lack the proper facilities to do so. Potions and remedies of all kinds can also be purchased there (or given freely, on a case per case basis).

(On the 3rd week of the month, we open the meyhane, always on a Tuesday from 7pm to 10pm EST.
You must be 18/21+ to attend the meyhane open house.)
Currently on hold
.
The Meyhane (Basement)
Located in the 1st basement, this small and cozy meyhane is one of many, an embodiment of Thavnairian culture, offering alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages, as well as traditional food in appetizer portion - or meze. Music, good company and laughter; this is how meyhane should be enjoyed. Most of what they serve is sourced locally, even the alcohols, to help in the rebuilding of their nation. Shisha also available. Profit from the meyhane always goes back to the community, in one form or another.

The Guild of Owls

Like a flower in the desert
Not everyone is dealt the same hand when brought into this life. Maybe events have pushed you further and further from what some deems to be the 'right path', or perhaps life itself decided to test you at every turn. But you're still there, aren't you? For the glint of profit, or because you're simply too stubborn to let death drag you away. Maybe your voice still needs to be heard; in defense of the weak, of the persecuted, and the ones society has decided to brush under the proverbial rug. Frankly, your reasons are your own... but humor me a moment, will you?
What if we could help each other?.
What we're looking for | Thieves, con artists, smugglers, information brokers, spies, mercenaries, suppliers, medics, alchemists...
This is far from an exhaustive list and if you believe your skills or your business could be of interest to us, by all means, tell us more. May it be to join us as a full member or simply to keep in touch as an associate or a collaborator, we value all those who can add their expertise to our group. Thavnair is our very heart and, while our efforts aim to bring succor to the citizens of this nation, we're not above accepting help from the outside, if such can benefit our people. Oh, but maybe you are instead looking for our services? Nobles, merchants, adventurers, civilians; come, have a seat, and let us discuss.

The Guild
Though not its official name, Jijivisha is often referred to as The Guild of Owls - or simply The Guild - by both those it has helped or those fearing it. While The Guild is not known for crimes involving assassinations, some still see the bird as a messenger of death. However, other symbolic meanings of this night creature seem to fit The Guild far more, like legends of owl shapeshifters, creatures of wisdom and the white owl coming to the help of the common folk by warning of incoming disasters or bringing good fortune. And lets not forget the blatant use of the word to refer to thieves and cutpurses, maybe attributed to the bird's skill in hunting at night, unseen and unheard.

Leadership

Sahib Hikmat Shah
At the head of Jijivisha is Hikmat Shah, an imposing man who doesn't seems to keep secrets; which some find suspicious considering he's at the head of a band of thieves. His charismatic and joyful personality paired with obvious martial expertise has secured his position for a number of turns already. While he went on a pilgrimage in the Far-East, leaving The Guild under his adviser's care, he recently returned to grant succor to his countrymen afflicted by the world's troubles. Rumors on the streets of Radz-at-Han are that he may have found a master on his travel to teach him the way of geomancy. One thing's for certain, the man's reputation as a healer and fighter no longer needs to be made, some even believing him to be Enlightened, thus earning him the title of Sant Sipahi - a 'Saint-Soldier' as closely as the Common tongue can translate.
.
His advisers
Seda Ballard Carrd | A consummate wanderer, Seda made a name for herself as a walking encyclopedia of Eorzean tariffs, imports, duties and taxes – and how to avoid paying them. Shortly after arriving in Thavnair, she had her ink-stained fingers dancing through the Guild’s account books, working with the others to make the most advantageous use of their gil, and to ensure they part with as little of it as possible.
Fakhri Man'tik Carrd | A strange choice of adviser, to say the least. Sleight of hand and one of many faces, this old viera might be hard to decipher. Some know him as the Blue Oracle, likely for his feats of Blue Magik and his gift of prescience. A jack-of-all-trades, he certainly doesn’t limit himself to the aforementioned areas of expertise. As one of the Guild's 'man on the ground', he's often seen wandering the streets of Radz-at-Han and mingling with the populace.Evonara Stormaire Carrd | A former executive of exports, Evonara took a drastic shift from a renowned businesswoman to a life of study and research, forgoing a field of success to one of the unknown. Explorer, heirloom collector, relic extractionist, and Gelmorran historian. Studies include astrological techniques and aether control in objects.Ishani Kaur [Deceased] | She kept The Guild together as its leader went on a pilgrimage in the Far-East. Hikmat had known her for many turns and considered her a mentor and friend. Old age and failing health will see her bedridden, though she'll miraculously hang on until Hikmat's return before breathing her last.

About us - ooc

.
Jijivisha is a RP Cross-world Linkshell community on the Crystal Datacenter. We operate primarily in Northern American timezones (Events are set in EST) and focus on criminal, morally gray and character driven RP, set in THAVNAIR and the Near-East. Think of it as a "Robin Hood" archetype organization - a mix of vigilantism, social banditry and anti-hero. Communication is done via an in-game CWLS (members and associates) and a Discord server (public).
Jijivisha also has a Free Company on Balmung but joining is not mandatory.
.COMMUNITY RULES1. We are a D/M/RP community | This stands for Dark and Mature Roleplay. You thus must be 18/21+ and capable of handling mature situations that inherently comes with criminal RP. It should also be noted that ERP is not tolerated in our public spaces, may it be in game or on Discord. This includes profiles such as Carrds that fail to place NSFW content behind a warning.2. Courtesy | All members are expected to maintain an air of civility towards each other. Jests will naturally occur, but recognize if you've crossed a line. People of an overly antagonistic, hostile, or inconsiderate mindset are not welcome here.3.OOC ≠ IC | One of the cardinal rules of roleplaying is differentiating fiction from reality. Especially for a dark-themed community, we can’t stress this enough. We dabble into the ugly side of the human psyche and emotions may run high. Keep a leveled head and take a deep breath if things gets too personal. Always respect other's OOC boundaries.4. IC actions have IC consequences | If you can’t deal with that, this is not the place for you. Disrespect and disobedience towards the leadership can lead to demotion and, ultimately CAN lead to your character being kicked out of the community.5. Lore-compliant | Our community is lore-abiding, though allows for lore bending when the lore is lacking or it goes into gray territory. We strive for a more realistic approach within the greater context of FFXIV's setting and, as such, don't cater to those on a high power scale. Additionally, we do not accept characters that are Ascian, from the First, Fae folks, Voidsents, THE WoL, etc. We have no problems with anyone who likes and want to RP any of the above, and we encourage you to with other like-minded roleplayers. Alas, this is a community and we had to set rules to keep Jijivisha within the role it was created for.6. Low-powered | We feel it is important to reiterate that we consider our group ICly 'low-powered' and urge anyone wishing to join to reflect on this; Is Jijivisha the right place for your character? We are up against the problems of the 'regular' people, finding solution as a group. If someone can single-handedly solve everything, then it saps the fun for the rest of us. "But this is a high-fantasy game!" Yes, of course, but lest we forget about all those nameless NPCs that asked you to fetch this and that, to rid their crops of bugs, to find their lost sheep, to gather herbs because there's monsters out there. And what about those regular soldiers who needed a hand. And then there's those forgotten, the refugees, the ones trying to live by any means necessary - thieves, pirates, smugglers. And this is where we stand, among those people. Why? Because it's 'real', because not everyone can save the whole world.
